Coronavirus and PT

I am sure you have been inundated with an extreme amount of posts, news, talk around town and at work. As a provider of outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, we have seen a dramatic shift towards “essential” interaction only. This likely involves primarily post-operative physical therapy. This is definitely important to avoid frequent interaction largely in clinics with numerous PTs and staff members providing care for a multitude of patients at the same time. Now in all honesty, if you have had lower back pain for 20+ years, missing a few PT visits is likely not the biggest deal in the world. Hence, prioritizing post-operative patients where they HAVE to make progress, meet timelines, and require guidance with range of motion, mobilizations, etc. At Rogue Rehab, the only people present include the therapist and the patient. So we can play with the line, but we want to respect any federal, state, and local recommendations as the number of cases continues to increase across the US.

Priority #1: stay healthy, stay active, keep your distance

Priority #2: If you had a recent surgery and your PT provider is unavailable, contact us and let’s see if we can be of assistance!

Priority #3: If you have a sub-acute or chronic problem AND have no flu like or corona like symptoms, contact us and let’s see if we can be of assistance.
